Scenes You Can't Turn Off

There are times when you are trolling the channels and you run across some classic TV show. And there's a scene you can watch over and over and over.

And over. You know what I mean? Those TV moments where the creative stars are all in complete alignment. Writing, acting, directing. Thanks to UBoob, those sterling snapshots are always now at your disposal.

Take a gander at this scene from what was probably the best ever episode of "The Odd Couple." Felix and Oscar playing Password. Right after 9/11, I was on a cross country flight where they played this. I have never heard such raucous laughter in a confined place. Something akin to being locked in a closet with Robin Williams.

And then there's this marvelously crafted scene from "The Bob Newhart Show." Bob is being interviewed on a television talk show by a host who has a bit of a reputation for being a shark.

When are they going to write scenes like this again?

Dinner last night: A hot dog at the TERRIFIC Hollywood Bowl production of "South Pacific" with Reba McEntire and Brian Stokes Mitchell.
