You probably heard about on the media. There were huge crowds all over the country, because everybody around us is genuinely pissed off.
When aren't we?
I laugh at the name of the protest last Saturday because if there is one thing about the politicians we all support on both sides of the aisle, they have no idea how to keep their hands off...our money.
But, as I looked at the photos of the tumults of angry people, a question came into my mind.
Where was their thunderous herd last November? Because the last time I looked at the numerical vote, one side beat the other quite handily. I'm curious. You had a chance to make a change. What happened? Huh?
I'm continually astounded by the huge number of people...friends...around me who turn their every waking moment into a discussion of politics. Is it worth it? My dad...a wise gentleman...used to tell me it made no difference because all politicians are corrupt.
The man had a point.
But, yet, all around us, people...friends...are coming virtually apart at the seams. I have one former work colleague that I have watched evolve into a blithering mess in the past year. It's a mental breakdown for all to see on social media. For several days last November, she was so depressed that she was recording diatribes from her bed. Clinical insanity. And no wonder she never married.
But, in between all the political lamentations being posted on Instagram, you can also see recent vacation photos from Portugal and the beaches of the Caribbean.
Hmmm. America can't be that bad off. You are certainly spending a few bucks on airfare and sun screen.
Mike drop.
Dinner last night: Leftover Korean pork.
