Damn it all to Hell, I hate writing this one. Usually, my monthly morons come from the world of politics. This time around, it's a little personal. Not for me directly as I keep my political thoughts off of social media. But I have friends right now who have been unfriended and blocked. Mainly because they voted for Trump.
I am shocked to see that some forty year-plus friendships have been thrown in the garbage can for such trivial reasons. Oddly enough, it is the Democratic side that is doing this more and more. They were crying for a return to democracy. Yet they are so incredibly intolerant of someone else's different political stance.
Really? How stupid. How ridiculous. How utterly hurtful.
Indeed, some of the posts I have seen from now blocked friends were not obnoxious at all. They were simply sharing an article or written piece that expressed their opinion. Oh, sure, I've seen some stuff that made me giggle. The various photos of Kamala Harris in a McDonald's uniform are one such example. But is it worth shitcanning a long standing relationship??
How did some people get so invested in the political landscape? Is it all that important to them? Because, in the humble opinion of my father...and now yours truly...they're (politicians) all flawed, Some are flawed conservatively. Others are flawed liberally. Most are in the game to simply make money.
It pains me to see what I am reading on social media. It's so utterly sad. And pointless.
And, for sure, moronic.
Dinner last night: French dip burger at the Cheesecake Factory.
