I hope you didn't think Lucy's 100th birthday was going to slip by without some acknowledgment in a Monday morning video laugh, did you?
This is the closing scene to my favorite "I Love Lucy" episode ever. Beyond the brilliance of Miss Ball, keep in mind that every action was written into the script, which is perhaps one of the funniest sitcom teleplays of all time. You may remember that the famous Brown Derby scene with William Holden is the first act of this episode.
Fabulous work, Lucy. You were the best. And that's because you always remembered your writers, especially our friends Bob Carroll Jr. and Madelyn Pugh Davis.
Dinner last night: Sloppy Joe sandwich and zucchini fritters.
