With the recent PBS special, everybody's thinking about Johnny Carson these days. And I'm no different.

Caught the Carson special Sunday night in a hotel room in Boston a few hours after college graduation. Aside from watching my daughter get her diploma, it was the highlight of the trip.
I wasn't the Carson fan you were -- I enjoyed him, but I didn't have the TV access when I was young. But like you, I've never sat down to watch a late-night show since Carson retired 20 years ago. There are few people in the entertainment industry who were unique. Carson was one; we will never see his like again.
