Who Died and Made Him Marcus Welby, MD?

As we now drift aimlessly from one lazy quarantine month to the next, I am more and more questioning why our dopey leaders have put so much stock into the wit and wisdom of Dr. Anthony Fauci.  Networks haven't put this much faith in a physician since Marcus Welby, MD was the number one rated TV show in 1969.

I mean, have you paid attention to his commentary?  First off, he is a burden to listen to with that voice that sounds like Garry Marshall with a sinus infection.  Regardless, he clearly likes to hear himself talk and he sure does enjoy the camera.

That's all immaterial, though, if the substance of his information was authentic.   But he has taken some incredibly wild swings over the course of the past three months.

There is tape of him saying that America has nothing to worry about with this virus.

There is tape of him saying that America is perched on the precipice of doom.

There is tape of him saying that face masks don't work.

There is tape of him saying that face masks are essential.

There is tape of him saying that it is safe to have sex with people you meet on-line.

There is tape of him saying that we probably should never shake hands ever again.

Dr. Fauci, be careful how you sit on the fence.   You're liable to hurt your genitals.

Jeez.  Can we get some other perspectives?   There are many doctors around.  Go find Dr. Kildare or Ben Casey or anybody from St. Elsewhere?

Pish tosh.   You say they are nothing but TV characters.  Well, at this juncture, so is Dr. Anthony Fauci.  And his erratic comments make me wonder if he's no more of a medical expert than your friendly Walgren's pharmacist.

Meanwhile, the screwball mainstream media and the idiotic left side of the aisle buy into his every word.

Can we at least ask somebody else?   Because, frankly, if I walked into an urgent care facility and the doctor on duty was Anthony Fauci, I would probably walk out.

Dinner last night:  Shrimp lo mein from P.F. Chang's.
