It's back. That annual gift given to us in this nation. The right that many of our ancestors fought and died for.
Election Day. Of course, that has become a joke in itself. I mean, nowadays, you can cast your vote by Labor Day. At some point, we'll be able to elect people on our computer and boy, that will really start the hacking process.
Such a perk as democracy is increasingly being wasted in this country. No one does any research on the candidates. Instead, they go by the D or R that comes after their name on the ballot. The days of being smart about how you vote are long gone.
So we vote for the party or the skin color or the gender or the sexual preference. Qualifications, nope. Abilities, no. Education, hardly. What should be important is hardly that any more.
And what is the end result of this sheer laziness in exercising our one true right as Americans?
Leaders like this old fossil.
Or this absolute dumb bell.
Or this bag of putrified shit.
Yep, those and many others just like them continually get re-elected. On your watch.
Today, be smart. Be informed. Be an independent, for God's sake.
Dinner last night: Leftover chicken with mustard sauce.
