So he's not really the beloved guy we've all heard about.

2004:  MUSICIAN ARTIE SHAW DIES.

He was once hooked up with Lana Turner, so no dummy he.

2006:  FORMER PRESIDENT OF IRAQ SADDAM HUSSEIN IS EXECUTED.

Good things happen to those who wait.

2014:  ACTRESS LUISE RAINER DIES.

She was 104.  Won an Oscar for "The Good Earth."  Now under it.

Dinner last night:  Leftover beef tenderloin and veggies.

More impressive: Gretzky had 50 goals in 39 games. Finished with 92 in 80. Told me 20 years later he should have had 100.

Even as a Giants fan, it was hard to hate Koufax; he was so classy. I'll never forget the "Dennis the Menace" episode when he allowed Dennis' coach to hit a rocket off him. When I sell my 1959 Dodger autographed ball with his signature on it, you can have first crack.
