Times Square might have looked a little like this night. More LED lights than you can shake a lamp post at. Stare at all this too long and you can actually give yourself LASIX surgery.
But you can still get the same excitement from the vintage clip below. The hope. The great expectations. The impending NYC transit strike. All in glorious black and white. Lord, I wish we still had Johnny Carson...and Ben Grauer.
