Actually, I believe the Doris Day Show came first, so MTM would have been trying to be her. The similarities are there, though. I had also forgotten that Rose Marie and McLean Stevenson were on the show. I remember it as pleasant entertainment but nothing out of the ordinary -- and I guess since it's never been on Nick repeats, either a lot of people agree or there are legal issues involved.
